Mabel's Summer Update

Dear One’s,

As usual, the Lord has taken wonderful care of me.

I moved into Good Samaritan Village here in Loveland on May 23……nothing special about the date, just the day the calendar showed “occupancy granted.”

I love my little apartment (emphasis on LITTLE.). I have enjoyed my new home, new friends, and many visits from longtime friends.

I’m not sure if it’s more friends I enjoy or the “flattery” of their unbelief that I’m 90!☺️

I already have the title of “the one-hand pianist,” having played a few times at functions. I’m finding that the “elderly” population is rather uninhibited….and I am enjoying that!🥰

Mark & Lauren with Carl & Marcia and Susan & family have continued their limitless love and care for me, including a late birthday open house, where most of my neighbors and friends gathered, sent cards and cheered me on to birthday 91. THANKS TO ALL WHO CAME (around 80-plus people!)……for gifts….. for great fellowship and fun. I didn’t have any idea that it would be so much fun to get oldER. (Friends and family from out-of-town also were part of my delightful surprise.) A BIG thanks to Mark & Lauren for putting this together!!….for wonderful neighbors helping……for Carl & Marcia being my “Forever Family”, for many family members coming from afar, and so many more.

These short weeks have been so delightful! I do OK spitting out some names, but I’m still ME….. I forget names, etc, and what I think you said only “sounds like” the intent of the conversation.

I’ll try to get this to everyone before summer is over.
